Danielle (Dani) Russ, BS, BA, AS, LVT
Dani is a seasoned professional in veterinary medicine with over 20 years of experience spanning general practice, specialty, emergency care, academia, and research.
Danielle began her academic journey at North Carolina State University, earning dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She later pursued an Associate in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College, becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
Her expertise encompasses managing personnel development and operations in diverse veterinary settings, from startups to established practices, including 24/7 emergency and specialty hospitals. Danielle is also a passionate advocate for independently owned veterinary practices.
Beyond her professional roles, Danielle contributes to advancing the field through education and leadership. She serves as a board member of the Veterinary Specialty Practice Alliance (VSPA) and Tidewater Community College’s Veterinary Assistant Program, and as a presenter at major veterinary conferences.
In addition to her veterinary career, Danielle is an accomplished equestrian, a fitness enthusiast, and a professional bodybuilder. At home, she enjoys life with her two French Bulldogs, Philomena and Pherdinand.

Dr. Karen Renhout
Karen is a visionary leader in veterinary medicine with over 40 years of experience, blends her expertise in emergency care with a passion for architectural innovation for optimal workflow efficiencies. After graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, she furthered her medical expertise through a small animal internship at Kansas State University. Over her 32-year tenure at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center, Karen ascended from Emergency Veterinarian to Medical Director to CEO, spearheading the design of four state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals, including a 47,000 square foot veterinary specialty center. Karen’s most recent project is designing a hospital for a feral cat rescue. Karen continues to shape the future of veterinary care, serving as past president of the Veterinary Specialty Practice Alliance, allowing her to remain dedicated to advancing both veterinary care and practice design standards.

Pamela D. Stevenson, CVPM
Pam is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) with over 40 years in the veterinary profession, Pam has built a distinguished career spanning hospital management, consulting, business education, and association leadership. She co-founded the Carolina Veterinary Managers Association in 1994 to enhance the professional growth of veterinary practice managers.
A respected educator, consultant, and executive director, Pamela brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the veterinary industry. Her expertise in both veterinary medicine and non-profit management uniquely positions her to offer valuable insights to practices, organizations, and individuals in the field.
